Atos System — Interactive Animated Scale Model Ringed Worlds Update

A browser-based scale-first schematic of the Atos System with animated orbital hierarchy, major and lesser moons, ring systems, the asteroid belt, focus controls, and selectable scaling modes. Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, click a body for data.

Default view now uses one exact AU-to-pixel scale for orbital distances, moon distances, and physical body radii. A manual zoom field is available for precise navigation. Most bodies are therefore sub-pixel until you zoom in; thin non-physical click targets are drawn separately only so the model remains usable. The full system is intentionally much larger, so you may need to pan or zoom out for a full-system view and zoom in aggressively to inspect moon systems at true scale.

Atos
The separate surface-preview box above projects the selected body’s map onto a fully rotatable sphere. The preview opens in a north-up orientation by default. Corrected uploaded maps are applied to the corresponding bodies, while bodies without an uploaded map (currently Plateau and Ivory) fall back to the stylized globe; click or search for a body to inspect it.

Model notes
Body data comes from the supplied Atos System article. The default model is now strictly scale-first: primary orbital distances use exact linear AU spacing, moon and submoon distances use the same exact AU scale, and physical body radii are drawn from the same AU-to-pixel conversion. Non-physical click targets are rendered separately and do not represent size. This means the system is intentionally very spread out, the moons remain very close to their planets in the full-system view, and deep zooming is expected when inspecting individual subsystems. A fully rotatable surface preview is included for bodies with loaded map textures. The uploaded texture set remains in place exactly as previously assigned: there is currently no map for Plateau or Ivory, the map formerly assigned to Plateau is assigned to Opsithe, Ampelos uses the exact uploaded file named 1200px-AmpelosMap2026B (4).jpeg, Fenrir uses the first newly specified map, Lukedu uses the second, Agnis uses the third, Styx uses the first of its assigned set, Faun uses the second, Silenus uses the third, Erasmus uses its corrected replacement map, and Nikolaj uses the exact uploaded file 1200px-Nikolaj2026Skin (1)(1).jpeg. Preview orientation defaults to north at the top. Cato and Sisera remain swapped as requested, the interface background remains plain black, Micras remains orientation-corrected, and the file ThalasSkin2026D remains intentionally mapped to Momiji. Ivory remains modeled as a satellite of Momiji.
Controls: click select, drag pan, wheel zoom, space play/pause. In the surface preview, drag in any direction for full 360° rotation and double-click to reset.
